Favstar, @debihope, and pathetic behavior
I guess I’ve been holding myself fairly neutral in the whole @debihope business. Until now. Let’s get a few things straight. If you in any way condone giving an application bad reviews because you have some beef against its developer or publisher, you ought to be shot flogged. Favit is an awesome app. It works well, does its job, and it is pretty damn neat. Want to ruin someone’s brand? Let’s play. I double-fucking dare you, kids. Why don’t you start with me?
Fine, you donated money to Favstar.
Why? Well, probably because it is an awesome service that doesn’t take sides and handles stars given to tweets way better than any of the other sites out there. And now all of a sudden you want it to take sides? If you abuse the rules of the service, you can’t really go crying, now can you?
Did your donation have other motives?
So you’re saying you tried to bribe the owner to give you special privileges? See, now we’re talking. Maybe you should go back to being a Nigerian Internet scammer instead of trying to bully your way into stardom.
Besides, it’s just fucking twitter, alright?
Get over yourselves. It’s not like you’re making any fucking money off of your tweets. It’s not like Tim Haines interfered with your business when he decided to move a certain person to the celebrities board for reasons that violated the Favstar rules, regardless of whether or not those rules were openly posted.
Making it serious business
You, on the other hand; yes you who decided to rate the app poorly just because you felt he wronged one twitter user, you interfered with his business and you ought to be sued for libel. Lucky for you he happens to reside in New Zealand and not in the United States.
So get over yourselves and go back to using 503otter.
