This was the start of a pretty fucking epic Family Night/Easter. Here are my boys with Turisas. I didn’t really get any pictures of me and Turisas because I was too busy getting the boys pictures and make sure that Nanda had a great time meeting and chatting with them. I do have to tell you that every single one of the guys in Turisas is nicer and more welcoming than you can imagine.
The music line up was awesome. Aether Realm opened. Then Huntress was great. Sadly, I missed seeing most of Arkona because I was drinking with Eric and Carl from Huntress and Danny from Alestorm. Then Alestorm was awesome! And of course, Turisas was just epic as I had hoped. They played an awesome show and had a great time doing it. I love seeing the band joke around with each other and the audience and have fun on stage.
After Turisas’ set, Robert (the only Swede in Turisas) came over to the stage to say goodnight to me from the stage and handed me a playlist. Robert then singling Torgny out in the crowd and yelled goodbye to him in Swedish.
Then we stayed a long time after the show hanging out with Alestorm and chatting in the parking lot. Nanda got to spend some time hanging out and talking with one of his favorite bands and meeting them as real people. Then we heading over to Waffle House with Chris and Stein (from Alestorm) and some other people we met at the show. We were out goofing off in the parking lot until 3am.
Our family nights are the best.
Pretty much nailed it. Best night in a very, very long while.

we’re not running out of oil. oil is a good thing. a good thing that we have an abundance of.
those i know, who have come to live here (several families from england and germany) have had to pay thousands and thousands of dollars to stay in this country. perhaps their circumstances are different, i do not know.i never claimed to be all-knowing on immigration. or on anything really. other than sex, and goats. no, not sex with goats. sex on boats, most definitely. i merely stated that it should be easier for those who want to come to this country for a better life should be able to without it being costly (and $500 to someone who doesn’t have a job *is* thousands and thousands of dollars to them).
i apologize for unintentionally incorrectly stating the cost of immigration. i will be sure to get my facts straight on our next debate.

Maybe I am misinformed. I thought we are running out of oil. It’s a natural resource that does not renew fast enough for us to even notice.
$500 isn’t a whole lot for a green card. If you want to move to America, you can save up over time and just pay it when you have the money.
Paying to stay in the country? You mean paying to be LET INTO the country? If they are moving an entire family then thousands of dollars make sense since it’s about $500 per person. Math skills. I has them.

i agree that religion should stay out of politics.there are many, many, many issues i did not touch base on (war, foreign affairs, the borrowing of money, etc), including religion.

you do know that oil is not *just* used for cars, right? oil has many uses.

I know that we have land set aside for drilling oil. And I know what oil is used for. Plastics for one. The world has been talking about alternatives to petrochemicals for decades yet we haven’t gotten very far. Considering how fast other science has evolved over my lifetime I really think that governments—America’s government in particular—should do more to solve this problem.
There are no easy, affordable ways to synthetically produce petrochemicals in the amounts required. Once we run out, we’re fucked. We’re running out soon. Probably in less than 100 years. Correct me if I am wrong here.
Immigration does not cost thousands of dollars. Being smuggled into the country costs thousands of dollars. Get your facts straight. Immigration fees are around $500 or something like that. You need a chest x-ray, blood test, and various shots to be allowed in.
