Really? Sometimes I just wish people would grow up. “Allow us the freedom to demonstrate, flip cars over, loot and pillage, and spray paint shit all over town, but if you hit me with that baton YOU’RE the asshole!”
As a person that has been to plenty of demonstrations where riot police have been involved I must say that demonstrators are usually way worse. Sure, a few crazy people get everybody into trouble. Then, if you truly want a peaceful demonstration you handle your own crowd and kick them out before they can cause any harm to the overall cause.
When there are people chucking cobblestones or Molotov cocktails at you and all you have is a riot shield and a helmet, you tend to approach the matter somewhat differently. Yes, I’ve seen that happen, in person.
So, skip the victim mentality and own your actions. Grow the fuck up and take responsibility. If you enact your freedom of speech by demonstrating peacefully, everything goes smoothly. If you want to have some fun and smash a couple of windows and set cars on fire, that’s no longer freedom of speech.
Sure, there are occasions when police have made mistakes in crowd control and they have overreacted. Look at it this way, a demonstration can turn into a riot in seconds. A riot is a very bad thing, for everybody involved. So, if the response from police is too strong, it’s still better than a riot. Riots end in burning cars, shops broken into, people being hurt, and harsh crowd control measures that do not only affect the few that started the riot, but everybody on that street. Thousands of demonstrators get punished for your one transgression.
So take your fucking hormones and go jack off to donkey porn or something and stay the fuck away from my demonstration, you testosterone filled jerk.

Maybe not as individuals but as a group, they are assholes.

If the police raided my house, I would be on the ground with my hands on top of my head faster than you could say: “Freeze!” Why? Because I know how cops work. I know what happens if you don’t cooperate.
You as an individual have the option not to cooperate.
Breaching a house in a raid is one of the most dangerous things a police officer can do. The risk of being shot, stabbed, or otherwise harmed are extremely high and therefore police that raid a building will be amped to the max and ready for a fight. If you present yourself in a fashion that can be interpreted as a threat, then you have already screwed yourself over.
Just one of those simple facts of life.
Besides, don’t do things that makes the cops raid your house. Retards.
