How to make your kittens behave: NERF style
I just had a conversation about cats and their personalities. When I raised my kittens I did not have much luck with spraying water at them when they were doing or were about to do something bad. They were just too fast and smart for me so I usually just got the spot they had previously occupied wet but they stayed dry.
I spent a few days thinking about how to best solve this dilemma. Then it came to me: my NERF N-Strike Maverick is pretty accurate.
What if I could use it to reach out across the room and hit a cat as they were about to, or doing something they weren’t supposed to?
The first few times I shot it at the kittens they just looked funny at me, pawed at the dart a bit then went on with their business. After 5-10 times, they would instantly know why they got hit with a NERF dart.
In the end I had but to shake the gun and the rattle would send them running from whatever nefarious little trick they were up to; be it trying to climb a curtain or chew on a cable.
I would rather have my cat’s pride damaged by a NERF projectile than see him/her electrocuted by 110 volts from a cable.
What did you do to discipline your feline children?
